Administration: Introduction

In this section of the website you will find information about the constitution and corporate activity of the National Gallery.

Constitution explains our status under the Museums and Galleries Act 1992 and the role and objectives of the National Gallery.

People provides details of the Board of Trustees, a short biography of the Director (Dr Nicholas Penny) and an organisation chart which includes a summary of each department's role within the Gallery.

Finance includes a review of the last decade, a brief overview of our current financial position and an outline of our plans for the future. This section also allows you to download copies of:
