Willem Drost
1633 - after 1663
Go to Artist A-Z
A Drost is recorded as a pupil of
Rembrandt
and was later in Rome. A group of signed works relate to Rembrandt's style of about 1650-5. He is perhaps to be identified with the Willem Drost recorded in Rotterdam in 1680.
