Adult Group Visits
Tailor-Made Tours
The National Gallery's collection is a great resource for adult learners, and we have a team of skilled guides and educators who can help your group to use paintings as a starting point for whatever activities you've got in mind. You might be studying art history and culture, or doing creative writing, or developing English language skills - a session at the Gallery can kick-start your work.
We can also organise a training session for your business, or a tour that's just about having fun and hearing the stories behind some of the world's most famous paintings.
- Sessions last one hour, and take place in the Gallery
- Group size of 10 - 25 people
- You need to book at least a month in advance
Exhibition Slide Talks
We also offer slide talks on the National Gallery's temporary exhibitions, for up to 70 people (fee charged). Enhance your group's visit to some of the major forthcoming exhibitions here at the Gallery.
Costs
Many educational groups can now use this service free of charge (includes U3A, WEA, ESOL groups, UK university and Further Education colleges). Contact us for full details of fees for other groups - the cost per head is usually less than the admission price of most major exhibitions.
Self-Guided Groups
The National Gallery also makes provision for those who wish to arrange their own self-guided group visits.
