About
Inspired by the calligraphy found within our collection and archives, Ashleigh Islin from Flourish & Plume leads a guided introduction to calligraphy.
Ashleigh will share practise exercises, starting with simple strokes, moving onto letter forms and lastly word formations, with plenty of tips and tricks along the way.
You will receive one-to-one help and begin to understand the benefits of calligraphy.
Your ticket includes essential guide sheets and practise papers, a personalised gift tag with calligraphy names, a calligraphy nib holder, nibs, ink pot, and light refreshments.
Your Host
Flourish & Plume is a London based stationery design studio, with a focus on combining hand-lettered modern calligraphy and hand-drawn illustrations to create unique pieces for wedding stationery and other special events. Founder Ashleigh Islin works directly with individuals, event planners and established brands, these have included Chanel, Hermes, and Liberty London to name a few. Ashleigh specialises in a range of modern calligraphy styles and loves to share her skills through workshops and private classes.
