Group Visits

School Groups

The National Gallery can offer schools and colleges a large team of skilled Gallery teachers to help students and their teachers explore the collection. For more information on school group visits, see our Education section.

Adult Groups

You can organise a tailor-made tour or learning session for any group of between 10 and 25 adults.

We cater for a variety of groups, from businesses to book clubs, and friends who've arranged a private tour for a special occasion.

For many educational groups (including U3A, WEA, ESOL students and others involved in higher or further education), this is now a free service.

Self-Guided Group Visits

The National Gallery also welcomes visits from self-guided groups.

We would like your group visit to be as pleasant and rewarding as possible. In order for us to be better prepared for your visit, we ask that self-guided groups are arranged in advance, as the Gallery's popularity means that it can sometimes become overcrowded and congested.

We welcome all groups, but please be aware that those groups that have made advance arrangements will take priority on the day.
