Call for Papers
Contributions to the conference should be original material that has not been published elsewhere and should be directly related to the materials and practice of European Old Master painting. Papers of an interdisciplinary nature that apply technical findings and analytical evidence to art historical and conservation problems are particularly encouraged.
Wider discussions of documentary sources, painting practice and materials, and technology of paintings are also welcome for works from the fourteenth century until the early decades of the twentieth century. Technical papers on works of art in other media which have a direct bearing on easel paintings will also be considered for inclusion in the conference programme.
