Organised by the London Museums, Librarians and Archivists Group (LMLAG), this one-day conference is of interest to all who use, or work in, museum/gallery libraries and archives and are concerned about their future development.
A range of presentations will:
- Explore opportunities for increasing awareness and usage of museum archives and libraries
- Consider initiatives that enable research into special collections
- Look at partnership approaches to collections development and access
- Reflect on cross-sectoral and cross-institutional collaboration
The conference will also examine the impact of recent advances in web applications on the services provided by archivists and librarians, and consider whether current training programmes deliver the skills required to make the most of emerging technologies.
