The sculpture exhibited in The Sacred Made Real is extremely powerful, constructed for worship in churches and in Easter processions and designed to elicit an emotional response in the viewer.

We will visit the exhibition and discuss how the sculpture provokes this strong reaction. In a workshop led by sculptor Al Johnson, we will construct small-scale wax heads in which both passion and pain are evident.
