The name Ysenbrant is associated with a large group of works showing the influence of Gerard David. They also relate to work by the Master of the Female Half-Lengths.
Adriaen Ysenbrant was a master in Bruges in 1510 and is said to have been a pupil of David. Of the pictures attributed to him, two are dated: a male portrait of 1515 and an altarpiece of 1518. The name is sometimes spelled Isenbrandt.
