About
This second of two talks by Dr Siobhán Jolley exploring the lives of two very different women as seen in our current exhibition, 'The Last Caravaggio'; Salome from 'Salome receives the Head of John the Baptist' and Saint Ursula from 'The Martyrdon of Saint Ursula'. In this session Siobhán will talk about the figure of Salome. Learn about how this biblical figure became one of the art history’s most notorious femmes fatales, and how Caravaggio’s portrayal links to other works in our Collection.
