Posing with Parmigianino
About
Join Gallery Educator and artist, Joanna Conybeare, for this creative workshop exploring figures, poses, and layering techniques, inspired by the works of Parmigianino and his contemporaries.
Parmigianino created imagery where the human body is manipulated to create his unique vision. As he made many drawings to work out his compositions, in these sessions, we will also use drawing to create our own response to pose and gesture, and build a collective composition.
Your Tutor
Joanna Conybeare is an artist and Gallery Educator who has worked in Primary and Secondary schools in London and the south coast as a teacher and subject lead for Art and Design. In her own artistic practice, she uses clay, porcelain and terracotta to explore the figure, enjoying the immediacy of the material that enables her to ‘draw’ three-dimensionally.
