Capture the fleeting beauty of clouds through sketching, inspired by Constable’s cloud studies. Explore various shapes, colours, and moods of the sky, as seen in National Gallery paintings.

Your tutors

Bethan Durie
Bethan Durie is one of our Gallery Educators. After completing an MA at the Royal College of Art, she went on to work in the learning departments of the Victoria & Albert Museum, Garden Museum, and most recently with us at the National Gallery. Her specialisms include design, contemporary illustration, and printmaking.

Emily Motto

Emily Motto is a Gallery Educator at the National Gallery and an award-winning artist working in sculpture, installation, and drawing. She studied on the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Central Saint Martins and went on to study BFA Fine Art at the Ruskin School of Art, graduating in 2014. Motto has since exhibited at various galleries including the ICA London, Pangaea Sculptors’ Centre and Beaconsfield Gallery, Vauxhall.
