About

Life drawing is the traditional practice of drawing the human form. It's a brilliant way to learn to draw from observation, developing skills in perspective, line, colour and tone. Life drawing is challenging because the human form is so familiar to us, yet unfamiliar when it comes to capturing it on paper. Through this challenge, we can develop our drawing skills. Bella will introduce you to a number of works from the Gallery's collection which include the female nude. You will take inspiration from these pieces when working with the life model. The class will begin with quick, dynamic warm up sketches, followed by longer poses.

You will receive expert tips and demos throughout the class which will help you develop skills and build confidence in drawing.

All drawing materials provided: paper, charcoal, pencils and colour pastels.
