About
Join us for this early access introduction to ‘Siena: The Rise of Painting 1300 ‒1350’.
This exhibition brings to life the vibrant city of Siena and the city's artists, who were making waves at the beginning of the 14th century.
In this golden moment of art, artists paint with drama. They show faces with emotion and bodies that move in space.
See some of Europe's earliest, most exquisite and most significant artworks, some of which are reunited for the first time in living memory. These works include paintings by Duccio, Simone Martini and the brothers Pietro and Ambrogio Lorenzetti.
Laura shares highlights from the exhibition and introduces the wonders of Siena at this online curator’s introduction. There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of this talk.
