SOLO presents Ella Beard
About
Musician Ella Beard’s work tells diverse stories, connects communities, and broadens perspectives through performances, commissions, and education projects. This summer, they were a performance fellow at the Bang on a Can Summer Festival having previously performed with Camerata, Momentum Ensemble and When We Ensemble.
For SOLO, they'll be presenting a set of works inspired by visions and apparitions in response to our current exhibition ‘Parmigianino: The Vision of Saint Jerome’. There will be the mystic visions of Hildegard von Bingen, an apparition from the natural world from Australian composer Emily Sheppard, and a new work about envisioning the queer self from Alex Groves.
SOLO
SOLO is a London-based concert series presenting intimate recitals from some of the UK's leading classical musicians.
Run by composer Alex Groves, SOLO is a melting pot of formative influences, collaborations and new adventures. Each artist takes you on a deep dive into the unknown, exploring the music that's made them who them are today and giving you a unique insight into their life as a musician.
