Guildhall School of Music & Drama
About
Room 32, where our 17th-century Italian paintings are displayed, exhibits some of the finest works of the Baroque period. For this special performance, students from the Electronic and Produced Music Department at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama have selected paintings across our biggest gallery as a source of inspiration for new and original compositions with a string quartet at their heart.
Students' contemporary writing will also guide you on a musical path through our collection of British paintings in a programme of short performances, creating a unique sensory experience and encouraging you to connect with these paintings in new and unexpected ways.
