About
Museums are traditionally seen as spaces that preserve and frame history, but what happens when we ‘open the frame’? How can performance transform a historic collection from a repository of the past into a platform for contemporary dialogue?
Students from Central Saint Martins BA Fine Art course present site-specific, performance artworks, which reframe the collection, offering fresh viewpoints and alternative interpretations of the paintings and the Gallery's rooms.
‘Open Frames’ is about breaking boundaries, opening possibilities, and making art a shared, living experience. A full programme of interventions will take place across the Gallery on the night. What will you discover?
