About
Celebrate ‘NG Stories: Making a National Gallery’ with one of the integral researchers behind this project.
Alan Crookham introduces this immersive exhibition and the stories within it. Learn about the family who called the Gallery home, the wartime pianist who kept people’s spirits up through some of our darkest times, incredible discoveries from our archives and ground-breaking scientific research.
Hear about the making of this exhibition and the many human stories that have shaped us over our 200-year history.
There will be time for questions at the end of this talk.
Speaker
Alan Crookham is our Research Centre Manager and responsible for the strategic development of our Library and Archive. He also works to support collaborative research projects between our staff and the broader academic community. He has particular expertise in museum archives and the Gallery’s history.
