About
Be the first to experience old friends and new surprises in this guided walking tour of the entire collection. Alongside the reopening of the Sainsbury Wing, our celebrated collection has undergone a complete rehang.
Start your journey in the Sainsbury Wing, home to the earliest paintings in our collection, and travel through the history of art moving through into the Wilkins building featuring our most recent paintings.
But rather than telling a single story of the history of art, the new display introduces new narratives, unexpected, themed rooms that tell us about the making of art, particular types of painting like portraits or flower paintings, or an individual artist. And for the first time, there are pairings of works together that span across centuries.
This is a guided walking tour through the collection for which headsets will be provided. Please meet at the Information Desk in the Sainsbury Wing Foyer.
