About

Discover Eva Gonzalès at this special online Members’ event.

Gonzalès studied under the Impressionist Edouard Manet, but she developed her own unique style and skill. ‘The Full-length Mirror’, shows a woman standing in quiet contemplation in a bare room, looking at her reflection. Her hair is ornate. Her dress is simple. She holds a bright red flower in a composition filled with blues, greys and browns.

Join art historian Linda Bolton to learn more about Eva Gonzalès, her relationship with Manet and the Impressionists, her brief role as a sitter, and her talent as an artist.

Celebrate Gonzalès and her work with us, with an opportunity to ask questions at the end of this event.
