A fun and thought-provoking experience for anyone who is a leader or would like to be. Join us for a highlights tour of our collection with a focus on leadership skills.
What leadership style did Charles I demonstrate? What leadership qualities does it take to lead innovation and break new artistic ground? Would Leonardo da Vinci have made an outstanding leader and why? These questions and many more will be unravelled in this 90-minute experience looking at great works of art through a very different lens.
Your host
Martin Brown is an award-winning Blue Badge Guide, experienced in guiding in National Gallery, Tate Britain and Tate Modern. Currently he is studying with Birkbeck College for a Post Graduate Certificate in Art History. Before retraining as a Blue Badge Guide, Martin worked for 30 years in education. Firstly, as a teacher of French & German in London secondary schools, and for the last 10 years as Head Teacher of a large Secondary School. In addition, he worked as a consultant for the Department for Education as a National Leader of Education, for OFSTED as an Inspector and for Bedford Borough Council as a School Improvement Adviser.
