About

On this tour we will look at the influences on Van Dyck's paintings, his career development and rise to court painter to the doomed King Charles I. Sarah Ciacci will discuss how and why he became so popular with the elite of England in the early 1600s, as well as looking at his influence on portraiture in British Art.

This is a guided walking tour through the collection for which headsets will be provided. Please meet at the Information Desk in the Sainsbury Wing Foyer.
