About

To mark the publication of 'What Art Can Tell Us About Love', author and 'The Daily Telegraph's' Chief Consumer and Culture Editor, Nick Trend, reveals the love affairs that inspired art's greatest masterpieces.

Whether in the throes of passion, enduring the pain of an unrequited love or basking in the joy of a wonderfully supportive friendship, this book explores how love influenced artists and the work they created.

For this talk in particular, Trend discusses the original inspiration for the book: Rembrandt's 'Portrait of Hendrickje Stoffels', his partner, and how it went on to become the starting point of a great adventure documenting the great loves of some of the most famous paintings.

Please meet at Annenberg Court. This event is seated.
