During 2009 National Gallery Education delivered four practical art projects on site at HMYOI Feltham. This exhibition features work made by the young men who participated in these projects, which focused on sculpture, gilding, painting and print-making.
About Inside Art
Inside Art is an outreach programme, which aims to engage young offenders in creatively responding to the National Gallery’s collection; it has been developed in partnership with HMYOI Feltham, a juvenile prison and young offenders institution for young men aged 15–21.
Inside Art is funded by The LankellyChase Foundation for three years, from 2009 to 2011. We will be delivering another four projects from March to September 2010, which will culminate in another exhibition in spring 2011.
