Description
The series contains collection newsletters and grey literature produced by the National Gallery. A few of the publications were produced by other bodies in association with the National Gallery.

Administrative history
The National Gallery began to produce newsletters, sales catalogues and events leaflets during the first half of the twentieth century. Books and catalogues produced by the Publications Department (later the National Gallery Company) are held in the National Gallery Library.
Custodial history
The publications were transferred to the Archive from the Library and from other Gallery departments.

Audio-visual material produced and published by the Gallery is held by the Audio-visual Department.
