Letters from H. Northcote stating that Mr Collins intends to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer why paintings recently offered to the National Gallery had been declined. Includes a copy of Burton's answer to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, stating that the Gallery declined the pictures as they already owned superior pictures by Roberts
