Description
Enclosing the 1872 catalogue of the Maitland collection [not included]; and stating that when he sold the Lo Spagna to the National Gallery as a Raphael, Burton admitted that there was a Raphael of the same subject but he did not know its location. The da Predis was bought by Fuller Maitland as a Leonardo in 1863.
