Description
From Ouchy near Lausanne: In Paris Eastlake saw an altarpiece ascribed to Garofalo which he has refused. In Geneva Prof Vogt arranged for him to see the Fazy Collection . He visited the Favre Collection, and describes the Colignola in the Campagna Collection, Paris. Prof Vogt disapproves of the application of vapour of spirit of wine to pictures viz the Pettenkofer process.
