Description
From Hotel de la Ville, Milan [in Lady Eastlake's hand]: Eastlake has been ill for three weeks. The Perugino in the Villa Albani may be for sale. Eastlake wants Wornum to try and trace its history. Great care is to be taken of the Sebastiano del Piombo before the varnishing; it is not to be cleaned. Eastlake has heard that the atmosphere in the National Gallery was "offensive".
