Description
From 7 Via del Risorgimento, Pisa [in Lady Eastlake's hand]: Eastlake has received Wornum's letter of December 5. "Derby Day" by Frith (NG615) is to be glazed. Eastlake will sign the new certificate for payment to agents. The Treasury have agreed the Minute regarding fire. Zen will send the Carpaccio (NG750) in a few days. Eastlake gives instructions for it to be cleaned and harmonized by Pinti and the restorations on it by Tagliapietra to be removed. Eastlake gives detailed instructions regarding the treatment of the Gerolamo dai Libri (NG746). The Giovanni Santi (NG751) has been delivered as far as Leghorn. Wornum is to decide if the Giofini pictures need "tone" (NG749). Lady Eastlake thinks that Eastlake is better. Morelli thinks that NG751 is by Giovanni Santi.
