Description
From Hotel du Louvre, Paris: Eastlake welcomes that Wornum is rehanging and moving the Turners, whose work he thinks will be misunderstood. There are three pictures in transit: Paris Bordone (NG674) which has left Naples, the Garofalo (NG671) and the Antonello (NG673). Eastlake will be viewing pictures in private collections. He has "a good number of zealous agents" in Italy. Nieuverkerque was complimentary about the National Gallery.
