Description
Fairfax Murray writes he is still awaiting a reply to his last letter regarding the Lorenzetti. He intends to write to his sister to instruct her to have the Hals drawing delivered to Burton's Argyle Street address. He requests that Burton send the cheque to Mr F.S.Ellis the bookseller at 29 New Bond Street instead of forwarding it to himself. He asks if Ellis had sent the photo of the Botticelli to him. He mentions that he saw another Botticelli Madonna in Florence for sale and had mentioned it to Ruskin. He adds that Mr Stanhope bought it.
