Informing him that two assistant housemaids on staff at the Gallery, Mrs Sarah Lush and Mrs Adeliza Chambers, have resigned due to ill health and requesting they receive a compassionate gratuity in consideration of their long service. He also encloses a letter from John Chambers, Mrs Chambers son, which states that assistant housemaids have received no compensation for any extra service required during the year.
