Description
Re a letter of 25 Feb 1876 and the decision of the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury and First Commissioner of H.M. Works re Mr Barry's proposition to place a dado in the new rooms. Thanks him for the courteous letter although the decision is contrary to the Trustees' and Director's wishes. Complains of a lack of involvement in decision-making re the new galleries. Fears that the Central Hall will not be conducive to the proper exhibition of pictures
