Description
Eight years ago the French government commisioned an artist from Lyon to make a copy of Sebastiano's 'Raising of Lazarus'. The artist (M. Montenay) was taken ill during the process of copying the picture and returned to France, where he died. The National Gallery would now like to know what should be done with the half finished copy that is still in the Gallery.
