After receiving an official query from the Exchequer and Audit Department Eastlake is instructed to ask McCracken what 'agency' provided by the company during the transportation of a picture from Milan relates to. The Gallery was charged £3-3 for this 'agency', which has been recorded independently of 'carriage and insurance' in the accounts.
