Description
Eastlake wrote to Taylor on the 3 Oct to point out that the hose used to wash the steps outside the Gallery was too short, which meant that the steps on the east side of the portico could not be washed. At the time Taylor said that the hose would be lengthened, but Eastlake pointed out that the available water supply was insufficient for the purpose. Could this problem now be addressed so that the steps can be properly washed.
