Regarding the circular from H.M. Treasury requesting that the Estimate for this
Department for 1881-82 be prepared and sent before 1 Dec, reminding his Lordship
that it will not be possible to compy until informed whether the Lords
Commissioners of H.M. Treasury will authorize the additional expenditure
involved by the new arrangements at this Gallery, details of which were enclosed
in letters addressed to his Lordship 29 May and 9 Aug 1880.
