Description
Stating that the Treasury's recommendations that the gallery be kept open all
year and that the public be allowed entrance on Student's days for a fee will
not be possible until the new attendants promised by the Treasury have been
appointed. The roles and cost of these additional attendees are explained. The
probability that the National Gallery may exceed its annual estimate for 1880-
81, and the sooner that entrance fees are charged on Student's days, the sooner
this can be rectified.
