In reference to Mr Humphreys' letter of the 23rd, the Trustees and Director of
the National Gallery approve the list of subjects proposed for the examination
of candidates for the office of Clerk and the application of an age limit to
applications. Mr George E. Ambrose is in readiness to take the examination.
