Enclosing a copy of the letter addressed by the Director to the Trustees of the National Gallery respecting the Drawings by Old Masters in the British Museum. Requests this letter is laid before the Lords Commissioners of H.M. Treasury as it has the approval of the Trustees of the Gallery. If their Lordships agree with their view the Trustees will consider the details for carrying out the arrangement.
