Reaction to a further letter in the Times from 'Amator Artium' which asks Lansdowne to confirm whether or not any potential acquisitions to the National Gallery over the past six years have been declined due to the refusal of a single Trustee standing against the majority decision of the Board. Lansdowne wishes to make clear that there has been no such event.
