Copy record of a letter from Charles Gerald Agnew to Colin Agnew, stating that "Noel Ashcroft is very anxious that you should discuss his Rembrandt 'The Cook'and try to get Valentiner to pass it." He also discusses the potential sale of a Rembrandt owned by Charles Clarke through Ernest Duveen, with a proposed price in code and refers to "a complication" in stock-taking which he has attempted to address by reducing pictures and taking pounds from the reserve fund, with figures given in code.
