Description
A file of records relating to Thomas Agnew (1794-1871) and his family including photographs and correspondence. He was apprenticed by Vittore Zanetti (owner of Manchester-based firm engaged as carvers, gilders, looking-glass and picture-frame manufacturers, thermometer makers, and print sellers). In 1817 he partnered with Zanetti, which following the latter's retirement, became Thomas Agnew & Sons by 1851.
