Letter (31 Aug 1887) from Lord Rosebery, written from Mentmore to Mr Agnew, asking who is Mr Elson who has written to him from the Manchester Reform Club and whether Rosebery should reply deferentially. Rosebery thanks Agnew for a note concerning "the Canning portrait" (possibly that of George Canning by John Hoppner) and states that he believes "F" has done well from its sale.
