Description
Letter (31 Aug 1887) from Lord Rosebery, written from the London County Council to Sir William Agnew, thanking him for a letter. Rosebery reports that he is delighted to have secured a drawing by [John] Tenniel and is pleased that Agnew likes a recent speech which is "infamously reported." Rosebery states that he has bought, "at a price which would have tried Guinness's purse" a portrait of [John] Keats.
