Description
A run of original and copied letters (2-24 Jul 1908) between Lockett Agnew, Lord Normanton and F.W. Procter, concerning Lockett's efforts to sell paintings owned by Lord Normanton and the valuation made by Christies. The paintings include two Reynolds, two Morlands, two Nasmyths, one Bonington, and one Van der Neer.
A small envelope containing 'Old Works Labels: Lord Normanton Pictures' accompanies the correspondence. The labels are entitled 'Royal Academy Exhibition of the Works of the Old Masters' 1884 or 1885, and the works are as follows:
