The annotated final draft of Geoffrey Agnew's account of the firm's attempt to purchase Velasquez's painting entitled "Juan de Pareja" for the National Gallery of Washington. Instead, they missed out to Alec Wildenstein's bid on behalf of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Two copies can be found at NGA27/23/20/15.
