The Fruits of the Spirit: Art from the Heart catalogue pairs nine paintings from the National Gallery with nine paintings from diverse UK public collections. Varied voices from across the UK explore the themes of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self‐control.

These catalogue entries are the first to be produced under a new initiative to publish our catalogues digitally first, giving us greater flexibility to publish individual entries, or small groups of entries, as the opportunity arises. Further entries will be added from time to time.
