Terms and conditions
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, acceptance and acknowledgment of your donation to the National Gallery (an exempt charity under the Charities Act 2011) in aid of the National Gallery’s NG200 appeal is subject to the below terms. By participating in the appeal you are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these terms:
- You are free to donate any amount to the appeal but if you donated £20 or more, we would love to acknowledge your support on a temporary public display located in our refurbished Sainsbury Wing.
- Names of individuals, trusts and foundations will be accepted for display. Acknowledgements are limited to 30 characters including spaces, punctuation and text.
- All acknowledgements are subject to approval by the Gallery at its absolute discretion, and the Gallery reserves the right not to display or to remove any acknowledgement at any time.
- The Gallery has sole discretion over the location and display of the names on Gallery materials and reserves the right to relocate or remove the acknowledgement at any time and for any reason.
- The Gallery intends that the acknowledgements will be displayed in the Gallery when the Sainsbury Wing is complete and open to visitors. The wing is scheduled to open in spring 2025.
- The Gallery intends that the names will be on temporary public display in the Gallery for a period of 200 days from the opening of the Sainsbury Wing.
- In addition to any data processing undertaken in relation to processing your gift, and any Gift Aid application, the Gallery will collect and use your personal data for the administration of any acknowledgement given and to provide you with updates on the appeal.
- Donations are voluntary and no refunds can be offered in any circumstances unless the donation is rejected by the Gallery.
